What Is Phone Farm Software?
Phone farm software is the control layer that lets one team run many phones as a single fleet: bulk actions, grouping, a multi-screen view, scheduled automation, an API and team access. DeviceFarm ships it with the phones, real Android devices in a datacenter, starting at $39.99 for 20 phones; automation and the API are a $99-a-month add-on.
Phone farm software sits between an operator and a fleet. One phone needs nothing more than its own screen; fifty phones need a way to select them together, see several at once, push the same job to all of them on a timetable and find out afterwards what ran where. That control layer is the software.
Home-built stacks tend to break at the joins. A mirroring window shows one phone while the script runs on another; the proxy written in the spreadsheet is not the one set on the device; an app update moves a button and a week of scheduled posts fails without anyone noticing. Each tool works on its own, and the hours go into keeping them in step.
DeviceFarm folds those parts into one product and adds the devices underneath. Android runs on ARM phone hardware in our racks rather than on your desk, so there are no USB hubs, cables or control PC to maintain, and the dashboard, the API and the Claude connector (the last two with the Automation add-on) all act on the same fleet.

What Should Phone Farm Software Do?
Use this checklist to judge any phone farm manager. Each line says what DeviceFarm does for it; lines marked (add-on) need the Automation add-on, $99 a month on top of the phone plan.
- Act on many phones at once. Select a filtered list or every phone, then start, stop, assign to a team member or delete in one pass. Progress shows phone by phone, and bulk deletion asks you to type a confirmation.
- Keep the fleet findable. Groups, free-form tags, search by name and a filter by team member narrow 500 phones down to the dozen you need.
- Show many screens. Multi-view streams the phones you pick side by side, up to 24 on one screen.
- Schedule without bursts (add-on). Bulk scheduling sets release times for a whole task list: 1 to 50 accounts per group, up to 120 minutes between groups, and any single task still editable by hand.
- Automate the apps you run (add-on). Built-in flows cover warm-up, posting, engagement and messaging on ten apps, TikTok and Instagram included.
- Record what ran (add-on). The automation log lists every run with its phone, proxy IP and status (waiting, in progress, completed, failed or cancelled).
- Open up to code (add-on). The REST API exposes nine endpoints for phones, shell commands and detached scripts, behind keys you can revoke.
- Take instructions in plain language (add-on). The MCP server lets Claude create, boot, operate and shut down your phones when you ask.
- Reach the device directly. Turn on ADB for a phone and connect to it from your own computer.
- Share access without sharing everything. The owner invites unlimited members and can limit each one to the phones assigned to them.
Can You Use Phone Farm Software With Your Own Phones?
Not with DeviceFarm. The software manages the cloud phones in your plan and does not connect to devices you own, so it is the wrong tool if you want to keep a rack running.

Built on real hardware, run from your browser
No hardware layer to integrate
The phones come with the plan, already connected. There is no device discovery, USB hub or driver sitting between the software and the fleet.
Every phone identifiable at a glance
Each phone card shows its serial number, Android version, group, tags and proxy country, so two similar phones are never confused.
Limits enforced on the server
The phone cap and runtime budget live server-side, so the dashboard, the API and Claude stop at the same limits: no script can create a phone past your plan or start one you have not funded.
Revocable API keys
API keys, available with the Automation add-on, are stored hashed and shown once. Revoke one in the dashboard and it fails on its next request, with no effect on your other keys.
Your own apps, uploaded
Upload an APK from your computer or from a URL and install it on the phones that need it, for apps no built-in automation covers.
Priced by phones, not people
Every member you invite works in the same software on the same fleet at no extra charge. The plan price depends only on the number of phones.
